Dockside Dancing

The Orchid Island Yacht Club kicked off the holiday season in high seas style with their annual Christmas Cocktail Party. The private event overlooked the Indian River, complete with twinkling lights, glowing candles, and holiday décor. The holiday spirit was evident in the specialty cocktails and an extraordinary catering menu. Members enjoyed reconnecting with old friends, creating new bonds, and dancing the night away.

The Joy of Giving Back

Orchid Island Members have passionate involvement in the surrounding community and love to spread that holiday cheer to the surrounding area. Once again this year, Members provided scores of Christmas gifts to the Operation Hope Toy Drive, all of which were donated to the children of Fellsmere. After bringing their gifts to the Beach Club, residents broke bread together while enjoying Chef Chris Sozio’s popular steakhouse dinner.

Junior Golf and Tennis Clinics

With so many families and friends gathering at Orchid Island for the holidays, the Club staff puts together fun activities to enjoy during their winter break. The Club hosted weekday golf and tennis clinics open to all children of all ages. These fun-filled clinics focused on introducing them to new sports or improving their individual skills.

Awaiting Santa’s Arrival

As anticipation grew for the arrival of the man in the red suit, many families gathered for a traditional holiday dinner. Happy to be spending time together again, Christmas Eve dinners were hosted at both the Beach Club and Golf Club. Delicious holiday menus were served with all the favorite holiday flavors and decadent desserts, creating a recipe for cherished memories for everyone in attendance.

Poolside Pizza and S’mores

No one was dreaming of a white Christmas on Florida’s Treasure Coast but toasting marshmallows over the fire was a different story. Orchid Island also hosted numerous family fun events including the popular poolside pizza and s’mores party. Holiday trivia and burgers and bingo also attracted a great turnout.

Members at Orchid Island Golf & Beach Club appreciate the special nature of life within the community. Although the holidays are a great time to gather, throughout the year they often return to enjoy even more time together.
